With Wi-Fi calling, you can make or receive a phone call if you have a Wi-Fi connection in an area with little or no cellular coverage. The Wi-Fi Calling feature needs to be enabled before you can make a Wi-Fi Call. Follow the steps below to enable Wi-Fi Calling on your Android device.
(Please note that not all carriers support calls over Wi-Fi.)
Once you’ve set up Wi-Fi calling, you can make a call over Wi-Fi just like any other call. When you’re connected to the internet, you’ll see "Internet Call" or "Wi-Fi calling" on the notification screen.
If you are not able to make a call once Wi-Fi calling has been enabled, try turning off cellular service completely, then make a call. You can disable cellular service from the settings or by putting your phone in airplane mode. |
