- Your current phone service must remain active during the switchover process:If you are considering switching, DONOT CANCEL or make changes to your current home phone plan with your current carrier. Your account has to remain open and active to port your phone number. Once the port is complete, you can then terminate your service with your old provider.
- Power Requirements:The telephone adaptor requires both power and an active internet connection to function. If your home loses power, unless you have a battery backup or generator, the phone service will not function until power is restored.
- Porting Documents: To port your existing phone number to the new service, you will need to sign a Letter of Authorization (LOA) and provide the most recent copy of your phone bill.
- Porting timeline: A port is typically completed within a week of receiving the required documents. This process can take longer if we encounter issues from the current carrier, such as data not matching records, or if the account is frozen.
- Adaptor Installation: Once we receive your porting documents, our home installation team will reach out to schedule a date for installing the adaptor. The team member will need access to the inside of your home.
- Dialing: For all phone calls, the full 10-digit phone number (including the area code) must be dialed.

What do I need to do on the porting date to activate the service?
Our team will contact you once the port has been completed and your phone number has been transferred to our service. If the phone adapter was installed before your porting date, connect your existing phone to the Phone port on the adapter. Once connected, please make an outbound and inbound call to ensure there are no issues with your service.
