Call parking allows a user to place a call on hold and have it be picked up by another extension on the account.
Step-by-step guide
- When on an active call press the the Transfer soft key or the dedicated physical transfer button to start the transfer process. The caller is placed on hold.
- To park the call, dial the assigned parking extension, followed by the Transfer soft key.
- The parking lot number (extension), in which the caller is waiting, is announced to the user which is then told to a third party.
- Third party "unparks" the call call by dialing the parking lot number (extension), from any extension on the account, and is connected to the original caller.
