CPNI Notice — NocTel Voice Services | Effective: April 2026
This notice describes NocTel Communications, Inc.'s ("NocTel") practices regarding Customer Proprietary Network Information ("CPNI") in compliance with 47 U.S.C. § 222 and the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC").
1. What Is CPNI?
CPNI is information that relates to the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of telecommunications services you subscribe to, as well as information contained in your bills for those services. CPNI is generated through your use of NocTel voice and telecommunications services.
Examples of CPNI include: the number of extensions or lines on your account; the types of services you subscribe to (e.g., call forwarding, voicemail, conferencing); the telephone numbers you call and the duration of those calls; your monthly usage totals; and your service plan details.
2. Your Rights Regarding CPNI
Federal law gives you the right to restrict NocTel's use and sharing of your CPNI. Specifically, you have the right to:
Restrict NocTel from using your CPNI to market additional services to you that you do not already subscribe to.
Restrict NocTel from sharing your CPNI with NocTel's affiliates for the purpose of marketing services to you.
Restrict NocTel from sharing your CPNI with third parties for marketing purposes.
Restricting NocTel's use of your CPNI will not affect the quality of Services you receive and will not change your current rates or terms. You will continue to receive the same NocTel services regardless of whether you choose to restrict CPNI use.
3. How NocTel Uses Your CPNI
NocTel uses CPNI to provide and manage the telecommunications services you have ordered, including network management, billing, and customer support. NocTel also uses CPNI to:
Offer you upgrades, enhancements, or additional services related to the services you already subscribe to, unless you have restricted this use.
Provide other carriers with information necessary to complete calls you place or receive, as required for network interconnection.
Comply with lawful requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required by applicable law.
4. What NocTel Does Not Do With Your CPNI
Consistent with NocTel's Privacy Policy at noctel.com/privacy-policy, NocTel does not:
Sell your CPNI to third parties for marketing, advertising, or data broker purposes.
Use your CPNI for behavioral profiling or targeted advertising unrelated to your NocTel services.
Share your CPNI with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your express consent.
5. How to Restrict NocTel's Use of Your CPNI
You may restrict NocTel's use of your CPNI at any time by contacting NocTel using any of the following methods:
Online: Submit a CPNI restriction request at noctel.com/cpni.
Phone: Call NocTel support at +1 503.764.4300 and request a CPNI restriction.
Email: Send a written restriction request to support@noctel.com with your account name and the subject line "CPNI Restriction Request."
Mail: Write to NocTel Communications, Inc., PO Box 35, Washougal, WA 98671, Attn: CPNI.
Your CPNI restriction will remain in effect until you notify NocTel that you wish to change it. NocTel will confirm receipt of your restriction request within five (5) business days.
6. Who Can Access Your CPNI
NocTel restricts access to CPNI to employees and contractors who need it to provide or support your Services, on a minimum-necessary basis. NocTel uses authentication procedures consistent with FCC requirements to verify the identity of account holders before releasing CPNI in response to customer service requests, including requiring account PINs or passwords for account verification.
NocTel will not release CPNI to a third party claiming to represent your account without proper authentication. If you believe someone has accessed your account information without authorization, contact NocTel immediately at +1 503.764.4300.
7. CPNI and Law Enforcement
NocTel may be required to disclose CPNI to law enforcement or regulatory authorities pursuant to a valid subpoena, court order, warrant, or other lawful process. Where permitted by law, NocTel will notify you of such a request before complying. In the event of an unauthorized disclosure of CPNI, NocTel will notify affected customers and file reports with the FCC as required by applicable rules.
8. Annual CPNI Certification
As required by FCC rules, NocTel files an annual CPNI certification with the FCC. NocTel's certification confirms its compliance with 47 U.S.C. § 222 and the FCC's CPNI rules, including the maintenance of a system to record and monitor customer CPNI approval status.
